This position is located in Minnetonka, MN with the option to work remotely. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. -5:00 P.M. with some flexibility on work hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond promptly to requests for price & availability, order entry, expedites, special pricing requests, returns, samples and general questions

  • Handle customer complaints promptly, effectively and report potential issues.

  • Process order to completion, expedite delivery as required & manage gear projects.

  • Prepare quotations by offering pricing and availability.

  • Gain product knowledge with the ability to cross reference products, make product recommendations & generate quotes

  • Proactively build, manage and maintain relationships with established customers

  • Execute sales effort in an ethical and professional manner that will reflect favorably on the reputation of both the salesperson and the company.

  • Overcoming challenges to meet customer needs and break down potential barriers.

  • Liaise with outside sales force in the execution of their functions.

  • Make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.

  • Assist with PCS marketing initiatives for tradeshows and e-mail marketing campaigns

  • Maintain PCS customer database and CRM tool

  • Maintain a current supply of product literature for all product lines

  • Educate customers to become self sufficient with our product lines online tools and systems

  • Manage house accounts


SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service preferably within the electrical distribution \ industrial industry

  • Must be highly motivated with strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills and who is able to work with minimum supervision.

  • Knowledge of electrical distribution & control, product applications, and sales experience is preferred.

  • Detail oriented, have ability to multitask and to communicate (verbal and written) efficiently and effectively within time constraints and against deadlines.

  • Negotiation skills along with ability to sell and be persuasive.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment

  • Ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Access is preferred

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
